Carl Lewis

“I’ve found that a person does not need protein from meat to be a successful athlete. In fact, my best year of track competition was the first year I ate a vegan diet.”
Frederick Carlton “Carl” Lewis (born July 1, 1961) is an American former track and field athlete and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. He won 10 Olympic medals (including 9 gold) and 10 World Championships medals (including 8 gold). Carl Lewis changed his diet to a strict vegan diet only a year before he broke the world record.
